Project Overview

Centene is a diversified multi-national enterprise with its global headquarters in Clayton, Missouri. In 2015, FORTUNE® named Centene the 4th fastest growing corporation traded on the U.S. Stock Exchange. There are many economic benefits to Clayton that come from our corporate growth.

Centene’s proposed Clayton Campus expansion will bring 2,000 high-quality jobs to Clayton, with an average salary of $73,000 annually plus benefits. One thousand of these jobs will be new to the state of Missouri.

To construct the proposed new development, Centene has hired real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield as development manager and real estate advisors, HOK as project designer and architect and Clayco as construction manager. The proposed expansion is designed to meet the company’s growth projections, while also creating a vibrant, mixed-use development which fits into the City of Clayton’s Downtown Master Plan. Please see our proposed Project Design for additional details.

Centene is committed to the future the of the Clayton community. We want to hear from our neighbors. We value your comments and look forward to working with you throughout this process.

“As Centene continues to grow worldwide, we are committed to the city of Clayton and we want to continue to be an anchor to this region. This development will serve Clayton and the St. Louis region well in terms of its economic development. We look forward to working in partnership with state and local officials to obtain the necessary governmental approvals in order to make this project a reality.”
