Carolina Complete Health
Carolina Complete Health (CCH) is the first provider-led managed care health plan serving over 370,000 Medicaid members in North Carolina through the Standard Plan and Tailored Plan (effective 7/1/24) programs. The health plan was established as a unique joint venture between Centene and the North Carolina Medical Society in conjunction with the North Carolina Community Health Center Association. Local physicians and other providers helped design the plan and have determined medical policies that impact members through a provider-led governance model. We are committed to addressing social determinants of health represented through our collaborative approach to care management and unique value-added services that support education, food insecurity, prenatal care and youth development.

Wellcare
In North Carolina, Wellcare offers a range of Medicare products, including Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans (MAPD) and standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). Our MAPD plans offer affordable coverage beyond Original Medicare, including a range of benefits such as dental, hearing and vision services; prescription drug services; The Wellcare Spendables™ debit card; transportation services; telehealth visits; wellness programs; in-home support services; and special supplemental benefits for the chronically ill. Wellcare’s standalone PDPs help to cover the cost of prescription drugs including low monthly premiums and $0 or low co-pays on medications; access to a broad pharmacy network of 60,000 retail locations; easy and convenient delivery of medications; and additional savings on insulin medications.

Ambetter of North Carolina Inc. is Centene’s Health Insurance Marketplace product in North Carolina with low cost and/or subsidized insurance. Ambetter Health, one of the state’s largest marketplace plans, exists to improve the health of its beneficiaries through focused, compassionate and coordinated care. Our approach is based on the core belief that quality healthcare is best delivered locally, as reflected by our partnership with Atrium Health in the Charlotte and Triad regions of the state. Ambetter Health serves other areas of the state as well.
