Across the enterprise, Centene employees embrace the value of collective action and the importance of active local involvement. It’s how we support the communities that have welcomed us as a neighbor.

Lending a Helping Hand

Through our Employee Community Engagement Program, Centene team members are invited to provide timely and impactful support to nonprofit community partners who have established relationships with Centene Corporation, The Centene Charitable Foundation, a Centene health plan, or a Centene subsidiary. Centene is a proven partner that communities can count on.

Volunteer helping with garden cleanup

The ALS Association is committed to discovering treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serving, advocating for, and empowering people affected by ALS so they can live their lives to the fullest. Centene employees support families impacted by ALS by stepping up to help with household projects that might otherwise be neglected. Caring for a loved one with ALS does not leave much time for taking care of a house, and that’s why our employees help with a variety of home projects such as house painting, lawn care, and gardening.

Volunteers at food bank serving food

Since 1988, Food Outreach, its staff, and its volunteers have brought to life a mission to provide nutritional support and enhance the quality of life of adults and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Every day, thousands of people in the St. Louis region rely on Food Outreach to provide healthy meals. Centene employees are making a difference by joining the effort.

Recognizing the urgent need for healthcare workers, Centene created a Medical Reserve Leave policy to empower employees with clinical experience to serve in their communities. Learn about the experiences from our team members on the front lines.
